42 years old. 10+ undiagnosed miscarriages, 4 failed IVFs and finally a baby. Phew. How I eventually got there is debated. Doctors, Biochemists, and Naturopaths disagree. In the end I listened to the Biochemists and Naturopaths, so stopped taking folic acid and went onto 5methylfolate. They told me to do this because I have MTHFR (40% of the population has this BTW). When I tried the 5methylfolate for the first time my body felt so different I just knew the pregnancy would work. So I blogged. This is our journey from the beginning of the successful pregnancy.
